I feel shadows hold mysteries; a plethora of mysteries. For me shadows are danger, passion and life beyond floodlights. Shadows are the First element in my photographs: negative space, positive space, complete space. The Second element is the nude: male, female, ambi, the human as a being, structure and shape and sensuality. Without the sex. Within the shadows. The Third element is more a personal philosophy: the geometry and shape of architecture and the geometry of the human form always work together. And fourth and last element is the ambiance of the picture. The backgrounds. The colour. The darkness. The tale. The setting of the picture holds the story together. Or the story of the picture holds the setting together. That's Nausher's nouveau noir. That's me. I often feel there is a danger in over-analyzing things. Once we begin to overthink something that has a positive or negative effect on us, that thing begins to lose its effect. The moon was mysterious before man walked on it. Life is full of unanswered questions. We have emotions that are unexplained, pleasure and hate. We have dreams that cannot be explained. And as you peel each layer of the story another veil comes to take its place, keeping the mystery in place. Photography lets us manipulate feelings, emotions, and dreams by presenting situations, characters, and images that are pleasurable, frightening, and the dark corridors in between.

Me parece que las sombras encierran innumerables misterios. Para mí las sombras son peligro, pasión y la vida más allá de los reflectores. La sombra es el primer elemento de mis fotografías: espacio negativo, espacio positivo, espacio completo. El segundo elemento es el desnudo: masculino, femenino, ambi; el ser humano como ser, estructura, forma y sensualidad. Sin el sexo. Dentro de las sombras. El tercer elemento es más bien una filosofía personal: la geometría y las formas de la arquitectura y la geometría de la figura humana siempre trabajan juntas. El cuarto y ultimo elemento es el ambiente de la imagen. Los fondos. El color. La oscuridad. El relato. El entorno de la foto mantiene unida a la historia. O la historia narrada unifica al entorno. Este es el nouveau noir de Nausher. Esto soy yo. Con frecuencia pienso que analizar las cosas en exceso encierra un peligro. Una vez que comenzamos a pensar demasiado sobre aquello que tiene un efecto positivo o negativo en nosotros, comienza a perder su efecto. La luna era misteriosa antes de que el hombre llegara a ella. La vida esta llena de preguntas sin respuesta. Tenemos emociones que no podemos explicar, el placer y el odio. Tenemos sueños que no podemos explicar. Al pelar cada capa de la historia, otro velo toma su lugar, conservando el misterio. La fotografía nos deja manipular sentimientos, emociones, sueños, presentando situaciones, personajes e imágenes placenteras, terroríficas, y los oscuros corredores que existen entre ellas.
