I was assigned to produce a piece on the Tihany Circus for the
Sunday edition of El Periodico of Guatemala where I've been working
for the past 2 years and a half. For a country like Guatemala,
the arrival of a European circus of such quality could not pass
unnoticed. All its shows were sold out during the three months
it was in town.
I
practically lived in the circus during five days; the first days
I was a stranger with a camera, but with time people stopped noticing
me and I got lost in the stress that traspires behind the curtains.

El trabajo del circo Tihany me fue asignado para ser publicado
en la edición dominical de El Periódico de Guatemala donde trabajo
desde hace 2 años y medio. Para un país como éste en América
Central, un circo europeo de tal calidad no podía pasar desapercibido,
ya que sus funciones siempre fueron abarrotadas los tres meses
que se presentaron en la ciudad.
Durante
5 días prácticamente me trasladé a vivir
al circo; los primeros días fui un extraño con cámara
pero con el tiempo dejé de llamar la atención y
me confundí en el estrés que se respira detrás
de la carpa.
