Comment:
These photographs are part of a photo documentary intitled " Ka ik di af nemen?" which means "Can I take your picture?" in Pomerannian language. They are above all, the registers of the photographer's months-long sojourn in the Pomerannian communities of the Espiritu Santo state in Brazil.
Each photo represents, besides the freezing of a moment, a piece of the day to day household, labor and religious truths. Images of the everyday farming life, taken in the workplace, the interior of the homes, collective rituals of the utmost importance for the group.
This project resulted in the publishing of 68 photographs that tell us about being the son of inmigrants, of the cultural diversity of Brazil, of the hardships, anxieties and strong cultural resistence of this group.

Comentario:
Estas fotografias son una parte del documental fotográfico titulado „Ka ik dir af nemen? ˆ que en lenguaje pomerano significa „ Puedo fotografarle? Y son antes de todo registros de la convivencia estrecha del fotografo, durante meses, con comunidades pomeranas en el estado de Espírito Santo, Brasil.
Cada fotografia representa además del congelamiento de un momento, um pedazo del dia a dia compartido desde la verdad doméstica, laboral, hasta la religiosa. Son imagenes del cotidiano rural, tomadas em lugares efectivos: sitios de trabajo, el interior de los hogares, rituales colectivos de gran importância para el grupo.
Este projecto culminó com la publicación de 68 fotografias que hablan acerca de lo que es ser descendiente de emigrantes, del Brasil multicultural, asi como de las dificultades, angustias y de la fuerte resistência cultural de este grupo.
