The dividing line between documentary photography and all other photograpic diciplines is razor sharp. Paraphrasing the words of 2004 World Press Photo winner Arko Datta: "every photo is a documentary statement, since it documents a given moment in time". I have always wholeheartedly adhered to this.

Every picture tells a story, and rightly so. Words are superfluous. Or should be. When a photograph needs an explanatory caption, it overshoots its mark, rendering itself redundant. Therefore, I consider all my work documentary as well as art.

La línea divisoria entre la fotografía documental y todas las otras disciplinas fotográficas es muy fina. Parafraseando, las palabras del ganador del 2004 World Press Photo Arko Datta : "toda foto es documental, ya que documenta un momento dado en el tiempo".

Siempre me he adherido totalmente a esto, toda imagen relata una historia y justamente ,las palabras son superfluas o deberían serlo. Cuando un fotógrafo necesita deun subtítulo explicativo, falla su objetivo, es redundante. Por ello considero que toda mi obra es tanto artística como documental.
