Instead of documenting, providing answers or making explicit statements, the photographs are meant to gain the viewer's interest and help him/her formulate questions about a place, its people and the viewer him/herself.

It is my expectation that questions of social, economic, and cultural identity will strike the observer. Ideally, all of these elements will come together in a way that expresses and guides the viewer through complementary aspects of culture, enriching him/her with questions the way they enrich me when I interact with, and create photographs of my subjects.

En vez de documentar, dar respuestas, o hacer declaraciones explícitas, quiero que las fotografías capturen el interés del observador y le ayuden a formular preguntas acerca de los lugares, las personas que aparecen e inclusive sobre sí mismo.

Es mi expectativa que preguntas de tipo social, económico y de identidad cultural serán formuladas por el observador. Idealmente, todos estos elementos se unirán en una forma que expresen y guíen al observador a través de aspectos culturales complementarios, enriqueciéndolo/la con preguntas de la misma forma en que me enriquecen a mí cuando interactúo con y creo fotografías de mis sujetos.
