The political and economic situation in Lithuania experienced sudden changes during the period of the last ten years. The destruction of Soviet collective farms, the restoring of land and forests to former owners suddenly changed the settled for the last fifty years moral and ethic relations. I want to show these changes through the everyday life of a farmer. The main character of my photos is 70-year-old and the smallest, only 90 cm high Lithuanian farmer Alphonse Mickus. He got back 4 ha of his father's land, 1 ha of the forest and an old farm. It is difficult for him to keep two horses, a cow, three pigs, seven sheep, two goats, geese, hens and a dog. When his house burned down, a benefactor gave little Alphonse a small house and built him a cattle shed. The photo series about smallest farmer Alphonse Mickus will be a visual section reflecting the problems of a man and the surroundings of post socialist Lithuania. 1999-2002.

La situación política y económica de Lituania he tenido dramáticos cambios en los últimos diez años. La destrucción de las grajas colectivas soviéticas, la devolución de tierras y bosques a sus antiguos dueños repentinamente cambiaron las relaciones éticas y morales establecidas en los últimos cincuenta años. Deseo mostrar estos cambios a través de la vida cotidiana de un granjero. El personaje principal de mis fotos tiene 70 años pero es también el más pequeño, Alphonse Mikus, de solamente 90 centimetros de estatura.Le fueron devueltas cuatro hectáreas de tierra y una de bosque pertenecientes a su padre.Le es difícil cuidar de dos caballos, una vaca, tres cerdos,una cabra, gansos, gallinas y un perro.Cuando su casa se quemó, un benefactor le regaló una casita y le construyo un pequeño establo. Esta serie de fotos sobre el granjero lituano más pequeño, Alphonse Mikus es una reflexión visual acerca de los problemas de un hombre y su entorno en la Lituania post-socialista. 1999-2002.
