By doing a photographic essay, I try to get inside my character’s day to day life. Being part of them is to know their problems and their way to dealing with them. Just like the actor who multiplies his existance by playing every time a different role, the essay is my way of living all lives that in life are unable to live, and to be all man that i won’t be able to be.
Photography is cropping an instant and cropping a space, and just like life, it pushes us to select.
This is my way of trying to avoid the only certain thing in life: Death.

Al hacer un ensayo fotográfico trato de meterme en al cotidianidad de el personaje. Ser parte de ello es conocer sus problemas y su manera de enfrentarlos. Tal como un actor que multiplica su existencia al representar un papel distinto cada vez, el ensayo es mi manera de vivir todas esas vidas que no se viven y ser todos los hombre que no podré ser.
La fotografía es cosechar un instante y un espacio tal como la vida misma, que nos fuerza a elegir.
Esta es mi manera de tratar de evitar lo único cierto en la vida: la muerte. Enero 2002.
