Comment:
This body of work tries to approach the indigenous topic from the mystic point
of view of this culture that goes from the religious up to daily activity. I began
photographing rituals where the pagan and the religious mixed.
As my work became
a body of work, I began to take photographs that in at first sight seemed unimportant
to me, such as the landscapes and daily life, maybe building a less lineal speech
but more directed to what I was looking for.
I believe that the work of those years in those places have to do with the search
for a mystic that cannot be found in the cities and, definitely, with meeting
with my own roots.
The images were taken in Jujuy, Argentina, on July 2002.

Comentarios:
Este trabajo pretende abordar la temática indígena
desde el punto de vista de la mística de esta cultura,
que abarca desde lo religioso hasta la actividad cotidiana. Comencé
fotografiando rituales en donde se mezclan lo religioso y lo pagano.
A
medida que fue tomando cuerpo mi trabajo, comencé a tomar
fotografías que en un primer momento no me parecían
relevantes, como ser los paisajes y la vida cotidiana, creando
un discurso menos lineal tal vez, pero más cargado de aquéllo
que buscaba.
Creo que el trabajo de estos años en esas tierras tiene
que ver con la búsqueda de una mística que ya no
se encuentra en las ciudades y -en definitiva- de encontrarme
con mis propias raíces.
Las imágenes fueron tomadas en la provincia de Jujuy (Argentina)
en Julio de 2002.
