Technique
All images are 35mm negatives (Kodak Portra VC 400), shot with a
Nikon F3, and scanned directly into digital format with a Nikon
Cool-Scanner. They also exist, in "hard-copy" form, as
12"x16" Fuji Crystal Archive C-Prints. |

Title of Project: Absence in the Atmosphere.
These
photographs are intended to both capture the distinct atmosphere
found in certain environments, and to evoke a sense of the "inhabitants"of
these environments, even when they are absent from the image.
In this sense, the photographs are an homage to mysterious and
subtle sense-of self that is left behind when a space, place,
or landscape is deserted, even for just a moment

Comentarios
Título del proyecto: Ausencia en la atmósfera.
Estas
fotografiías buscan captar tanto la atmósfera característica
de ciertos lugares, como evocar la sensación creada por
sus "habitantes", incluso cuando no están presentes
en la imagen. En este sentido, las fotos son un homenaje al misterioso
y sutil sentido del yo que se queda atrás cuando se abandona,
incluso sólo por un momento, un espacio, lugar o paisaje.
