Straight
black-and-white photographs merging the images of a mother and
her adult daughter provide the raw material for these digital
images. I scanned the silver prints into the computer and manipulated
them in PhotoShop.
This
series on the theme of femininity touches in a metaphoric realm
on fundamental, universal conflicts between mother and child.
It deals with issues such as the confrontation with death in the
moment of giving birth, unresolved conflicts between growth and
castration, acceptance and rejection, and dependence and alienation. |

madre y su hija adulta, son la materia prima para éstas
imágenes digitales. Digitalicé las impresiones y
las manipulé con PhotoShop.
Ésta
serie sobre el tema de la feminidad, toca en una esfera metafórica,
conflictos universales y fundamentales entre madre e hijo. Trata
asuntos como enfrentarse con la muerte en el momento del parto,
conflictos no resueltos del crecimiento contra la castración,
aprobación y rechazo, y la dependencia y la alienación.
