Comments:
Visual perception and the advent of technology has introduced
a new era of how art is perceived, and the process in which
art is created. For the past several years I have worked exclusively
within the digital realm using only digital cameras, scanners
and printers. Through these devices I have been experimenting
with flowers in varying states of decay. It is through their
loosening limbs I am able to capture the poetic essence of their
death, like beautiful underwater creatures swimming in a three-dimensional
world.

La percepción visual y el advenimiento de la tecnología
han traído una nueva era en cuanto a la percepción
que se tiene del arte y del proceso mediante el que se crea. Durante
los años recientes he utilizado únicamnete lo digital:
cámaras. Escáreneres e impresoras. Con estos aparatos
he experiemntado con flores en diversos estados de descomposición.
A través de sus aflojadas ramas puedo capturar la esencia
poética de su muerte, como hermosas criaturas acuáticas
nadando en un mundo tridimensional.
