These images are heavily influenced by the expressionist filmmakers
of the 1930's with their exaggerated displays of emotion and theirhigh
contrast use of black & white.
The images within MANIKIN follow arecurring theme in my work which
is the creation of life and character in otherwise inanimate objects.
The images in this series were first shot andcomposed in colour
during September 2002 and then converted to black & white
in photoshop as I felt this suited the mood of the images better.

Comentarios
Estas imágenes están fuertemente influenciadas por
los cineastas expresionistas de los años treinta, con sus
exageradas descargas de emoción y el uso del alto contraste
en blanco y negro.
Las imágenes de MANIQUí abordan un tema recurrente
en mi trabajo que es la creación de vida y personajes en
objetos inanimados.
Las
imágenes en estas series fueron originalmente tomadas e
impresas en color durante septiembre de 2002 y posteriormente
convertidas a blanco y negro en photoshop, porque sentí
que de esta manera el ambiente de las imágenes sería
mejor.
