From the series: "Limbo"
I build architecture with photography. What I create with these images gives a different interpretation of architectural spaces. These pictures create a labyrinth, a complex place where one does not know where it leads to, what awaits one after turning left or right. In this new landscape without nature, I play the role of Daedalus walking through a maze.
The concrete labyrinth becomes a metaphor for a place that is full of unexpectedness, a space for investigating the architecture of the country where I live, which is Puerto Rico. Nevertheless, at the same time these images gives no reference to what is or could be Puerto Rico. It could be anywhere. The monumentality that they embodied gives them the feeling that this labyrinth is endless.
A universe within itself, and one wonders if this character is ever going to find his way out of that engulfing huge concrete environment. 2004.

De la serie: "Limbo"
Construyo arquitectura con la fotografía, lo que creo con éstas imágenes dá un interpretación diferente de los espacios arquitectónicos. Estas fotos crean laberintos un lugar complejo que no se sabe dón de lleva, lo que a uno le espera al dar vuelta a la izquierda o derecha. En este paisaje nuevo sin naturaleza actúo el papel de Dédalo caminando por el laberinto.
El laberinto de concreto se convierte en una metáfora de un lugar que esta lleno de lo inesperado, un espacio par ainvestigar al arquitectura del paías donde vivo, Puerto Rico, aunque podría ser en cualquier lugar. La monumentalidad que encarnan les da la sensación de que el laberinto es infinito.
Un universo dentro de sí mismo y uno se pregunta si alguna vez este personaje va a encontrar la salida de ese enorme ambiente de concreto. 2004.
