grew up in the midwestern United States and began photographing
trees in 1996.
I
do not know if it is so only for people who have grown up in places
where there are many trees, but for me, I seem to need them. Maybe
if I could quote Shakespeare who wrote: "Now o're the one-half
world, nature seems dead; and wicked dreams abuse the curtained
sleep..."
It
could be that the trees help keep the wicked dreams at bay.

Crecí en el centro-oeste de Estados Unidos y empecé
a fotografiar árboles en 1996.
No
sé si esto es común a la gente que crece en lugares
donde hay muchos árboles, pero en mi caso, parezco necesitarlos.
Quizá pudiera explicarlo con una cita de Shakespeare: "Ahora
en una mitad del mundo, la naturaleza aparenta estar muerta; y
pesadillas terribles abusan del velo del sueño..."
Pudiera
ser que los árboles ayudan a mantener a raya a los sueños
malos.
