Technique
Camera
I use a Hasselblad 500C with a Carl Zeiss Distagon CF f/3.5 60mm
lens for outdoor photography and street photography and a Planar
CFi f/4 120mm for portraits. I almost always use a tripod with my
Hasselblad and prefer daylight to artificial light.
Film
I love the Polaroid Polaplan T665 film, this film is a medium
speed, medium contrast, fine grain film which produces high quality
black and white prints and negatives suitable for enlarging. Unfortunately
the fact that the negative must be immersed in a sodium sulfite
clearing bath immediately after development in a dark environment
prevent me to use this film for street photography. For this reason
I use Kodak Tmax 100 and 400 films in the streets
Darkroom
I use a Beseler 45VXL4x5 enlarger with a Condenser Lightsource.
The enlarger is mounted on my darkroom wall for better stability.
Ilford Multigrade FB 1K as papers for my prints with Kodak Dektol
revelator. For better conservation and the slight cooling of the
image it produce I tone my prints with the Kodak Rapid Selenium
toner. As I frequently live in warm countries one of my main concern
is the room and water temperature. |

CFi F/4 120mm para los retratos. Casi siempre uso un tripié
con mi Hasselblad y prefiero la luz natural a la luz artificial.
Película
Me gusta la película Polaroid Polaplan T655, una película
de grano fino, velocidad y contraste medios, que produce impresiones
y negativos en blanco y negro de alta calidad aptos para su ampliación.
Desafortunadamente, el hecho de sumergir al negativo en un baño
aclarador de sulfito de sodio inmediatamente después del
revelado en la oscuridad, me impide usar esta película
para la fotografía callejera. Por esta razón uso
las películas Kodak Tmax 100 y 400 en la calle.
Cuarto
oscuro
Uso una ampliadora Besler 45VXL4x5 con un. La ampliadora está
montada en el muro del cuarto oscuro para mayor estabilidad. Uso
papel Ilford Multigrade FB 1K para mis impresiones y revelador
Kodak Dektol. Para una mejor preservación y por el ligero enfriamiento
de la imagen que produce, viro las impresiones con Kodak Rapid
Selenium. Como suelo vivir en paises con clima cálido, una de
mis preocpaciones es la temperatura del ambiente y la humedad.
