While making street photos, non-photography was formed. Non-p is the concept of taking energy as far as possible, and with no regards to excellency. It is about making pictures while being free of the photographerês extra cargo of filters, stylish lenses and other expensive equipment. The non-photographerês main tools are enthusiasm, an open mind and hopefully some creativity. More so, non-p has no use for books (too boring) or calculations (too calculated). For the most part, I make street photos, which means, recording the natural pace of the street life –as is”, without any interference on my part. No pre-planning is involved. I have my cameras (Minolta SRT 101 and an un-sophisticated digital camera) along with me at all times.

La no-fotografÍa naci„ al tomar fotografÍas callejeras. La no-fotografÍa es el concepto de llevar la energÍa hasta donde se pueda, sin tomar en cuenta la excelencia. Se trata de tomar fotos sin que el fot„grafo tenga que cargar con filtros, lentes sofisticados y demˆs equipo costoso. Las herramientas principales del no-fot„grafo son el entusiasmo, una mente abierta y algo de creatividad. Es mˆs, la no-fotografÍa no necesita de libros (demasiado aburridos) o de cˆlculos (demasiado calculados). En gran parte, tomo fotografÍas callejeras, lo cual quiere decir registrar el ritmo natural de la vida de la calle –tal cual es”, sin ninguna interferencia de mi parte. No hay una planificaci„n previa. Llevo mi cˆmara (una Minolta SRT 101 y una cˆmara digital poco sofisticada) conmigo todo el tiempo.
