“How can a people so talented and
rich in natural resources wallow in poverty?”“How
can a people with a history of heroism and
fearlessness allow government after government
to plunder their country’s wealth and deprive them
of the most basic services?”“How can a country that
claims to be predominantly Catholic breed
corruption among the masses and up to the highest
position of power in the land?”why have the efforts of
numerous local and foreign NGOs, despite their good
intentions and huge amount of money, not resulted in
social and economic progress for the poor majority?”...
The answers to these
questions, I believe, is in the people, which I hope they will reveal through
this
project.

¿Cómo puede un pueblo tan talentoso y rico en recursos
naturales vivir en la poberza?¿Cómo puede un pueblo
con una historia heroica y valerosa permitir que un
gobierno tras otro saquear la riqueza del país y
privarlo de los servicios más básicos? ¿Cómo
puede un
país que se dice predominantemente católico fomentar
la corrupción desde las masas hasta el rango más
alto?¿Por qué,a pesar de sus buenas intenciones
y
grandes cantidades de dinero, los efuerzos de
numerosas ONG's locales y extranjeras no han tenido
resultados para el progreso social y económico de la
mayoría pobre?...
Las respuestas a estas preguntas, creo
se hallan en la gente, que espero sea revelada en este proyecto.
