Specular Universe

According to those who know, there was once a time when the specular universe and that of man were linked. It was possible to go in and out of mirrors freely. Both worlds lived in peace.

One night, the people from the mirrors invaded Earth. After bloody battles, despite their enormous power, they were defeated and imprisoned beneath glass. Deprived of their form, they were destined to be mere servile images. If we look carefully into the depths of reflections, we can see that they have begun to cease to imitate our movements. Little by little they have managed to shake off their lethargy and they have begun to come alive.

So I began to search in display cases, in puddles, on the bodies of cars, wherever a reflection might exist. With surprise, I began to discover that these surfaces mix our existence with another that takes place in a parallel universe. These images have clearly ceased to correspond to our world.

I began to photograph to warn others of the awakening of these beings. We do not know how many of them are already among us, nor do we know anything about their intentions.

Commentario
Universo Especular

Cuentan los que saben, que existió un tiempo en que el universo especular y el de los hombres estaban comunicados, se podía entrar y salir por los espejos libremente. Ambos mundos vivían en paz.

Una noche la gente de los espejos invadió la tierra. Después de sangrientas batallas, a pesar de su enorme fuerza fueron derrotados y encarcelados bajo el vidrio. Privados de su figura, quedaron destinados a ser meras imágenes serviles. Si miramos con atención al fondo de los reflejos, podremos observar que han comenzado a dejar de imitar nuestros movimientos. Poco a poco han logrado sacudir ese letargo, han comenzado a despertar.

Así, comencé a buscar en los aparadores, en los charcos, en las carrocerías de los automóviles, en donde existiera un reflejo. Con sorpresa fui descubriendo que esas superficies mezclan nuestra existencia con otra que transcurre en un universo paralelo, definitivamente, estas imágenes han dejado de correspondernos.

Comencé a fotografiar para advertir sobre el despertar de estos seres. No sabemos cuantos de ellos habitan entre nosotros y mucho menos sus intenciones.
