36 exp. started with the awe that the photographic world created in me, when I first began to be aware of it’s physical and magical aspect, as a mix of light and silver, and a product of men’s discovering of the notion of space-time, combined with a knowledge of the elements of the world and of reality. I saw that actually, photography has had a crucial role in the shaping of the actual model of reality (classical-relativistic-quantum-fractal), thanks to it’s direct link to reality, it’s unique link to the visual aspect of the universe, and in the realms of the corporeal and the symbolic. As far as we know, there’s is not another object in the cosmos, that can record and keep the look of the state of the universe at a certain (or uncertain) given point in space-time the way photography does it.

Because of this, photography (as an action) and photographs (as a result), are essentially both magical and mysterious, photography is the universe recording itself through human action, and as a product of human action, it is an ambivalent record, a record of the whole (cosmos) and the part (human being and it’s thoughts and dreams), a holon that records holons. In photography, the whole/part holistic notion is just as important and the notion of the dark and the luminous.

36 exp. comenzó por el asombro que me produjo el mundo fotográfico desde su aspecto físico, como mezcla de luz y plata y como producto del aprovechamiento del espacio-tiempo y de las cualidades de ciertos compuestos por parte del hombre. Esto hizo que me replanteara e investigara acerca de las bases que conforman nuestra realidad, y vi que de hecho la fotografía misma ha contribuido en gran parte en la construcción del modelo de realidad actual (cuántico-relativista-fractal), gracias a su liga directa y singular con la realidad visual del cosmos. Hasta donde el hombre sabe, no existe ningún objeto que pueda preservar con precisición algún estadío previo del cosmos de la manera en que la fotografía lo hace.

Por esto, la fotografía es en esencia mágica y misteriosa, es el universo registrándose a sí mismo a través de la acción humana, y por lo mismo es un testimonio ambivalente, un testimonio del todo (cosmos) y de la parte (el ser humanano y sus adentros), un holón que registra holones. En la foto, la noción todo/parte es igual de importante que la noción claro/oscuro.
