Spaces of transition have always fascinated me on a
level beyond the photographic because
they say a lot about the human activity prior to the
image as well as guess at future human activities that
could transpire within the frame. These sets of images
were made in the home of someone whom I used to share
much of my personal life and space with. She had
recently moved into a new apartment and I wanted to
document a work in progress; that is the work of human
inhabitation.
However, like human spaces, feelings and relationships
change as well and it is almost certain now that our
dream of sharing a home together will remain
unfulfilled.
Spaces of human inhabitation are almost always dynamic
and fluid.
It would have been naive to think that human
relationships can be anything else too.

Los espacios de transición siempre me han fascinado en
un nivel más allá de lo fotográfico por
que dicen
mucho de la actividad humana antes de la imagen así como
de las futuras actividades humanas a realizarse en su marco.
Esta serie de imágenes fueron tomadas en
la casa de alguien con quien compartía gran parte de
mi vida y espacio. Ella se había mudado recientemente
a su nuevo apartamento y quería documentar el proceso
de ocupación humana del espacio.
Sin embargo , como los espacios humanos las relaciones
y los sentamientos cambian y nuestro sueño de
compartir un hogar se ha esfumado casi con certeza.
Los espacios de habitación humana son casi siempre
fluidos y dinámicos, hubiera sido ingenuo pensar que
serían de otro modo.
