"Family Secrets" is a series of photographs about the members of my family. Some of the photographs are digital collages, using original photographs, scanned objects, and old family photographs. Others are straight photographs, only minimally manipulated in Photoshop.
 
The photographs representing my parents are denser and more complex since the images I have created for my grandparents are mostly visual interpretations of long-ago memories. Although the images are not fictional, I must reconstruct objects that have disappeared, and childhood memories that have faded. The photographs reflect different memories and different aspects of both the personality of the person and my relationship to them.

"Secretos de Familia" es una serie de fotos de miembros de mi familia. Algunas de las fotos son collages digitales en los que se usan fotos originales, objetos escaneados y viejas fotos familiares. Otros son simples fotos directas mínimamente manipuladas con photoshop.

Las fotos que representan a mis padres son más densas y complejas y las de mis abuelos son interpretaciones visuales de viejas memorias.

Aunque las imágenes no son ficticias, tuve que reconstruir objetos desaparecidos y borrosas memorias infatiles. Las fotos reflejan distintas memorias y aspectos de la personalidad y mi relación con las personas.
