Valentina coming back to her old house to Chernobyl found it totally desvasted and the floor stolen. Contaminated furniture and floor are sold in the flea markets in all the Republics.

Valentina with her husband Evgueniev, engineer still working at the station, and their grand daughter Maria. They are now living in Ivankiv in a small apartment in a HLM. Evgueniev is suffering from eye irritation due to the radiation. María is sick from living and eating every day the products of a nuclear area (tyroide disorder). They have no money to cure her.
