A few days after the death of David Sanes Rodríguez, Alberto de Jesús, popularly known as "Tito Kayak",  became the first person to enter the firing range and settle in a civil disobedience camp - Mount David, in honor of the civilian from Vieques who had been killed by the Navy practices.

This untiring environmentalist was sentenced to serve a year in prison; the most severe sentence ever imposed on a passive civil disobedient!
