The Presidential Committee appointed by President Clinton and the Task Force appointed by Governor Pedro Rosselló, analyze the Vieques situation.

The Puerto Rican Task Force arrived at the following conclusions: there  is devastating harm to the environment in Vieques; health and peace of the Vieques' community is seriously affected by the Naval exercises; the economy has not thrived due to the invasion of their lands and the Navy exercises, and the people of Vieques want the Navy to leave immediately and to return the occupied land.
