Zonezero the film As a complementary activity of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of ZoneZero, we will create a film that will consist of testimonies about your personal experiences with the internet, new technologies, as well as with zonezero.com; all from the perspective of you as a user over the last ten years. We are seeking a wide geographical diversity of participants, considering that ZoneZero is being visited by people from 115 countries.
To participate: In order to participate in the creation of this film:
A) Send an e-mail to film@zonezero.com including the the following:
1. Let us know a little bit about yourself by sending us a picture of you, and some further data as to where you live and what you do.
2. Also include a very brief written outline of how would you address the following questions we would like you to answer through your video footage:
- WHO YOU ARE (max 3 minutes): Please tell us your name, where you are from, what you do for a living, how the computer plays a role in your life, how do you explore digital photography or any other thing that you do in the computer and how has ZoneZero played a role in your activities and your involvement over the Internet, education and photography.
- WHERE YOU LIVE (max 3 minutes):
Show us your place of work, home, street, city, something that gives the viewer a context of your environment. It should be relevant to the following statements.
- THE ROLE PLAYED BY THE INTERNET IN YOUR ACTIVITIES (max 4 minutes):
Explain how the Internet has helped you to perform your work or other aspects of your life and, if possible show an example. Describe if ZoneZero is in any way involved, and if so, in what way.
- HOW YOU LEARNED ABOUT NEW TECHNOLOGIES (max 4 minutes):
Show us the way you learned how to use digital technology and how the Internet has played a part in your education or the education of those around you.
- HOW THE FUTURE LOOKS TO YOU (max 4 minutes):
Think about the next five to ten years, and then, in a creative way, express your ideas regarding the future of photography and the Internet.
B) Applications must be submitted before March 31st, 2004. A pre-selection of participants will be made once we have received all the applications.
C) If your proposal is selected, we will notify you with an e-mail that will include the instructions of how to film and send your material to us; in return you will receive a DVD with the final version of the movie.
Important:
- We will only receive the filmed material of those who were previously selected and notified. With the shipment of this material you must include a printed sheet of paper with the AGREEMENT signed by the author of the work. Please read the PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS.
- We are very interested to use the author´s original language in the film. If your work is selected for the final version of the film, you will be asked to help in the translation of the chosen footage or texts, either to english or to spanish.
- Please avoid any soundtracks that might represent a copyright problem.
