Their
ideological horizon is closer to Brookling than to Israel. In
Buenos Aires where this work was done, the Orthodox community
includes more than 500 families. Every Orthodox couple uses to
have not less than five or six sons. The Jewish Fest is celebrated
with great intensity, and they aloud children and grown-up people
to dress for the masquerade, and even to get drunk and dance as
much as they can. Those are days where their daily rigid habits
are relaxed.
In
the wedding ceremony, as well, the woman stays in a second place,
assuming obediently the Orthodox precepts. That is why she has
to wait with her face covered until the groom decides to uncover
her.
With
regard to the education in their schools it is not different from
any other, however boys and girls are separated when they study.
The didactic materials are imported from the USA, as well as the
food they eat.
This,
as any other photographic edition, is subjective, and I would
like that the ones that can see this summary of my work would
reach their own conclusions.

Su
horizonte ideológico esta más cerca de Brookling
que de Israel. En Buenos Aires, donde se realizó el reportaje,
la comunidad ortodoxa asciende a más de 500 familias. Cada
matrimonio ortodoxo suele tener no menos de cinco o seis hijos.
El carnaval judío es festejado con intensidad, y se permite
a niños y mayores disfrazarse; y hasta emborracharse y
bailar hasta que el cuerpo aguante. Son días en que se
relajan los rígidos hábitos de vida.
También
en la ceremonia de la boda, la mujer permanece en un segundo plano,
asumiendo con obediencia los preceptos ortodoxos. Por eso debe
celebrarla con la cara tapada hasta que el novio decida destaparla.
Con respecto a la educación sus escuelas no se diferencian
de cualquier otra, sin bien niños y niñas estudian
separadamente. Los materiales didácticos se importan desde
los EEUU, como también los productos alimenticios que consumen.
Como
toda edición fotográfica, es subjetiva, y desearía
que los que vean este resumen de mi trabajo obtengan sus propias
conclusiones.
