The festivities of "Los Lunes de Cerro" are celebrated in the city of Oaxaca. Traditions, culture and human nature join together in this national and international event where the whole community participates. At first, this festivity had a religious nature. Nowadays, after some changes, the Guelaguetza is not the same, but its essence remains. Guelaguetza is a Zapotec word meaning: offering, gift.

Las fiestas de "Los Lunes de Cerro" se celebran en el ciudad de Oaxaca. Costumbres, cultura y naturaleza humana se conjugan en este acontecimiento nacional e internacional en el que participa todo el pueblo. En sus inicios tuvo un carácter religiosos, actualmente la Guelaguetza, después de ciertos cambios, no es la misma, pero permanece su esencia. La Guelaguetza, palabra zapoteca significa: ofrenda, regalo.
