One
of the most dramatic pages of the Chilean history was being written,
and it lasted 17 years, from 1973 to 1990. The wounds provoked
by Chile's dictatorship are still open; these images talk about
the thousands of dead, tortured, imprisioned, marginated, relegated
and exiled people, victims of the cowardness of those who were
fed with the blood and the tears of their own people.
Many
of these facts won't be punished or will be forgotten, but in
front of the world's eyes and in front of thousands of chilean
people that claim for the truth and for justice, General Pinochet
is going to be know by history as a conspirator, a torturer, guilty
of genocide and State terrorism. So that the large avenues where
free men walk past, would never be closed again.

escribía una de las páginas más dramáticas
de la historia chilena durante 17 años desde 1973 hasta 1990,
Chile mantiene aún abiertas las heridas que le infringió
la dictadura; en estas imágenes hablan los miles de muertos,
torturados, encarcelados, marginados, relegados y exiliados por
la cobarde acción de quienes se cebaron con la sangre y las
lágrimas de su propio pueblo.
Muchos
de estos acontecimientos quedarán impunes o pasarán
al olvido, pero ante los ojos del mundo y de los miles de chilenos
que aclaman verdad y justicia, el General Pinochet pasará
a la histora como conspirador a la tortura, culpable de genocidio
y terrorismo de Estado. Para que nunca más en Chile se
cierren las grandes alamedas por donde pase el hombre libre...
