My
name is Lizet Hernández Arreortúa, I am 21 years old, I
graduated from high school with a specialty as a computer technician,
I am from Capulalpam de Méndez Ixtlán, and I currently work
for a local forestry organization called OZACHI; I'm in charge of commercialization.
The year I
graduated from high school, I couldn't continue my studies, so I started
to work for Comunalidad A.C. in Guelatao, an organization that helps the
young. On that occasion they were organizing several workshops, among
them one on photography. We were invited to participate. I decided to
take the workshop but I had to organize my schedule because I worked as
an administrative assistant. At first I devoted little time to the workshop,
but I thought it was interesting, so I asked my coordinator to give me
some more time. In this way I began this project based on my interest
in nature and the region's diversity; very few people give it the importance
it deserves, some things are so hidden that only a trained eye can uncover
them.
The workshop
was interesting and it still is, we learned photography, which is not
only useful as a way of remembering, but it can also be fun. We also shared
our experiences with Mariana and the others, our different ways of seeing
things, and the way our projects slowly emerged.
