imagen 1
Ingredients
Ammonia dichromate
(it is poisonous)
60 grams dissolved in one liter of water
Clear powdered gelatin A small box with a number of packets
Water soluble liquid paints A number of different-color small flasks like those used for schoolwork
THIN WHITE CARDBOARD WITH A ROUGH SURFACE FOR DRAWING

Instructions
Cut out a piece of thin cardboard to match the size of the negative and with a sponge impregnate it with the following mixture:
1 part dichromate solution
1 part hot water in which a packet of gelatin has been previously dissolved
1 part water soluble liquid paint

After having impregnated the cardboard with a thin layer of this mixture, leave it to dry in the dark. Once dry, place it on a wooden base with the emulsion side up.

Place the negative on the emulsion which is on the cardboard, then place a sheet of glass on top of the negative to press it down and leave it in the sun for 5 to 10 minutes. After the exposure, wash the cardboard with a sponge and warm water and the positive image will appear on it in the chosen color.

The mixture can be prepared in a regular-size glass in the following proportions:
Half a glass of this mixture is sufficient to prepare several pieces of cardboard measuring 4x5 inches.
The pieces of cardboard that have been prepared should be used immediately as they lose their sensitivity in one or two days.
Some spiritism scholars think that Averroes was not referring to the camera obscura, but to a post-mortem state, a kind of reincarnation that started in the coffin but, bearing in mind all the known antecedents, this hypothesis seems totally erroneousness to us. The unicorn, as in real life, dies with Adojuhr. The last news there is of it, before its trail disappeared forever, was a report made on May 12, 1824 by a Basque shepherd to the head of police of Tolosa, Guipuzcoa.
Shanti Larrucea, native of Tolosa and 54 years old, said, in full use of his faculties and without having drunk any kind of alcoholic beverage, that he saw a horse with a very large horn grazing in a mountain clearing, which looked like the drawing that had existed on some rocks in that region since time immemorial.

In this brief account of unknown or forgotten events, we have seen the close relationship that exists between the Unicorn and the camera obscura.

It should be remembered that in those times magic was an art that was associated with the study of natural phenomena. It is probable that the horn of the Unicorn, such a beautiful and rare animal, should have been chosen to perforate magical boxes for various reasons:

1. For being thought to possess magical qualities.
2. For its extreme toughness, thus its fine point did not become blunt, or
3. For having associated it with the reproductive organs. For some cultures, the Unicorn was a symbol of virility.
Whatever, the camera obscura and the Unicorn have remained inseparably bound together, in what is referred to as the legendary "art of capturing images."
