Karumaathi Puja 2

Depending on its caste, the family will perform a karumaathi puja on the eleventh, fifteenth or sixteenth day after a person has passed away, so that the deceased can rest in peace. As the wailing ladies huddle together in solidarity, re-living their losses as a community, it will probably help them to get on with life.
