The Doorway

In the façade he left the main door and with a lathe he made two full-sized windows with wooden bars. He also conserved the back door, only making it a little higher so as to be able to pass through on horseback, and he kept a part of the old wharf in use. This was always the most-used entrance, not only because it had natural access to the stables and the kitchen, but also because it opened onto the street where the new port was, without having to cross the square.
