16. - Don Emiliano plucking

The diet of most indigenous cultures in Mexico does not include meat, many do posses cattle but they do not eat it. The fiestas are one of the few occasions when meat is consumed.

The fiesta of the Day of the Dead, some chickens and turkeys belonging to the family are slaughtered to “feed the dead”. A whole day is dedicated to prepare mole a delicious dish for the fiesta.
