September 30, 1993

The pain has kept me up all night. I decided to sleep on the floor by my parents bed, rather than be alone. When I arrived at work the pain was so bad I could barely walk. I began to cry. I can’t stand up for fifteen minutes let alone seven hours. I don’t think I can work anymore. I told my friends I have to leave my job.

I am sure my bosses think I am an untrustworthy employee. Inside I’m screaming, but no one can hear.
