AY DIOS - Diana Blok

Real or imaginary?

I walk aimlessly, with the carnival as my guide. The public is more interesting than the floats that are passing by. The carnival has become an increasingly elaborate form of entertainment costing a lot of money and effort.

My eye is caught by this young woman with breasts that do not agree with the size of her body. They cannot possibly be real, I think, but I doubt myself... everything is possible. I pass, stop, shoot and move on.

Two days later, I find the same woman at a Jamaican music concert at the stadium. She recognizes me, smiles and shows off her breasts with pride. Sometimes, I would like to have less fear of approaching people that attract my camera. At home, when I study the pictures, questions arise... It is already too late.
