AY DIOS - Diana Blok

Marcela

For a moment, I thought I had seen Frida Kahlo's ghost. She had never heard of Frida. She is a humble woman who works as a waitress in an Italian restaurant. I made an appointment with her for a photo session, which she gladly conceded. I chose a crumbling building in the city as my studio.

Very few people are so full of life and so willing to interact with the camera. Her fantasy blended with mine. After telling her to pose where I had placed my "light", her talent unfolded naturally and without trace of self-consciousness. This type of enthusiasm can be found in children, but it is rarer in adults.

A born actress whom I would like to film some day. Her voice is unexpectedly deep.
